Solo CC Jersey
RRP: £70

Commute, race, training, or going for the whole endurance thing, with its tasteful retro styling, good pricing and comfortable, lightweight BREATHE fabric, the Solo CC Jersey a cracking choice as a good looking Jack of all trades summer jersey.

Close-fitting and fast wicking, the Solo CC Jersey is performance-orientated enough to work equally well as a training or race jersey. Wash after wash hasn’t impaired the performance of the CC Jersey either. There’s no sign of wear and tear to the stitching after several months of regular use, and the waistline gripper still keeps its shape just as when we pulled it from the packaging.

The full length hidden zipper runs reasonably smooth and has behaved itself faultlessly, locks nicely into position at the neck, and as you would on a race jersey, there’s no garage at the neckline, but the small zip toggle does lock securely into position wherever you park it.

Stitching is typically well finished from Solo, and is light enough not to leave any pressure marks on your skin for such a snug-fitting jersey. The Airtex type fabric used throughout on the CC Jersey is lightweight and excels at wicking away sweat, but you do feel the breeze on your torso when it picks up if you’re sweating.

The three rear pockets are reasonably deep and allow plenty of room to carry all your essentials. They are backed up by a fourth, small zipped pocket, ideal for money or keys etc.

In summary: great value for the money. The Solo CC Jersey is hard wearing, stylish and comfortable to wear week in – week out. Not the smoothest zipper on test, but the overall lightness of material and construction is welcome on long, hot summer rides.
