Hi-vis cycle apparel just got sexy!

The Pro Aero long sleeve Jersey from Pearl Izumi is gossamer light, close fitting and is perfect for cool weather training rides.

Slipping on the Pro Aero LS Jersey over a baselayer or short sleeve top, you can’t help but feel that you’re wearing something just a little bit special By that I mean the Aero Jersey is minimalist in its cut: long at the back and in the arm length, but short enough at the front to ensure there’s no loose, flapping material – or anywhere else when it comes to that.

The construction of the Pro Aero Jersey is first class. The stretchy wind-resistant material enables a close, wind-cheating aero fit, but what’s really nice too is that Pearl Izumi haven’t scrimp on material where it matters most with a jersey of this type: at the neck line, and in arm length.

Even when fully stretched out on the drops, there’s plenty of material to cover the wrists and keep the lower back covered.

Wind-resistant panels to the upper-front area creates a firm barrier against cold morning rides. The high neck line and zip cover are soft and don’t irritate under the chin so you can keep zipped up and protected without any loss of performance.

Just as I mentioned earlier, the Pro Aero LS Jersey is extremely lightweight, but it’s also very soft and you hardly know you’re wearing it – except that it does the job of keeping the wind at bay very well.

The back section, or panel, of the Pro Aero Jersey is constructed using a breathable fabric to help reduce sweat building up, thus keeping your lower back warmer in cool temperatures. Sweat is swiftly moved through the fibres and into the air for a comfortable, dry ride regardless of how hard I rode against the wind.

The lack of any excess material flapping around gives the Pro Aero Jersey a definite pro-feel and is just small enough to fit in a jersey rear pocket if rolled tightly enough.

What’s really cool too, is that you still get three rear pockets and a decent section of gripper along the rear hem to help keep its shape. Pearl Izumi reflective logo on the back is tasteful and minimalist, while the other small reflective logos dotted around the jacket add nicely to the safety element.

In summary: comfort, lightweight protection and pro-looks, gives the Pearl Izumi Pro Aero LS Jersey a distinct advantage over more cumbersome hi-vis jerseys. Build quality and construction is as you would expect from Pearl Izumi - excellent
